Pamela– I have permission from my papermaking group to post our stuff on Treewhispers–I sent you the link to our pictures. Do you want me to compose something, or do you want to. I found out the fibers the others used: Kay Hilt, the brown paper: Exotic woods (Wenge etc.), finely planed shavings from her husband’s workshop. There was not enough cellulose from just the wood for the fibers to stick together, so she added brown kraft paper. Diane Flack: kozo and banana papers that she had. Rachel Bancroft, the dark maroon: brown packaging paper, construction paper, colored paper streamers and white copy paper (she hme schools her two children, so she had stuff from their craft and art projects–the color was a complete surprise. Marianne Nelson: white calligraphy quality paper, some from practice, some scraps from cutting sheets to size. We used pulp from each other, making blends of the above.
