I’m way to far away to come to this, but I’ve made paper before. The last time I did, I forgot and left some pulp and water sitting in the tank (an old baby’s bathtub from a thrift store). Some days later I saw mosquito larvae in it, so I dipped out a sheet with mosquitos in it, which I think I still have. It occurred to me it would be possible to make fly paper, by putting dead flies in it, but I have never done that.
A blender makes the fibres pretty short. I think the kind of garbage-disposal machine of the kind that goes in a kitchen sink would do very well. Try that if you can afford it, or have access to one.
