Thank you for the lovely post on Treewhispers of Autumn Leaf. This is the tree round of one of my interns in my MAKER Papermaking Team, and I am delighted with all the work she put into it. She has combined both her new papermaking skills and her expert sewing skills to produce the piece. It is a unique piece where she has used an interfacing for the leaf that washes away, leaving the sewing lines which are like a fine mesh in this piece. The thread used for the stitching is a variegated in fall colours.. The paper round is created from a Hollander beaten green flannel sheet! Mimi
